ElectriCAD or Trikker?

In short. Trikker is software installed on a Windows computer, in beta on Mac since 30 September 2026. ElectriCAD opens in the browser, on a computer as well as on an iPad or Android tablet, with one licence per person, files online and a public link for the client.

What changes day to day
The survey happens on the tablet, at the client's
ElectriCAD opens in the browser of an iPad or Android tablet. You draw the plan with a finger or a stylus, at the client's. Trikker's FAQ says it does not work on iPad or Android.
One licence per person, not per computer
With ElectriCAD, the licence follows the person: the same project opens on the office computer and on the site tablet. With Pro, the whole team works on the same projects: nothing to copy from one computer to another. With Trikker, one licence works on one computer at a time: working on two computers at once needs two licences.
The client looks without installing anything
A public link shows the document to the client, with no account and nothing to install, always in its latest version. With Pro, an apprentice or an inspection body can be invited as a viewer, without a licence. With Trikker, you show the file by sending the printed or exported PDF: after a change, you have to send a new one.
Taking over a Trikker file
- Print the situation plan to PDF from Trikker.
- Take a screenshot of the page.
- In ElectriCAD, import the screenshot as a background plan, scale it with a known dimension, then trace the walls and points (help, in French).
You take over a file when you need it.

Do I need to install anything?
No. ElectriCAD opens in the browser of your computer or tablet.
Can I keep Trikker and try ElectriCAD?
Yes. ElectriCAD is free for 3 complete plans, no credit card: enough to redo a recent file and compare.
